- What does Stripe do in Wrapped?
- Stripe is the payment processor for your Wrapped web store. When a customer buys a gift card on your store, or tops up a card they already hold, Stripe takes the payment and Wrapped issues or tops up the card. Customers don't redeem gift cards through Stripe; they spend them on your connected POS and online stores.
- Do I need my own Stripe account?
- Yes. Payments are taken on your own Stripe account, not a shared Wrapped one. From your web store settings you can connect the Stripe account you already have, or create a new one in a few minutes. Your store can't take payments until Stripe is connected.
- Does Wrapped take a cut of web store payments?
- No. Payments land in your Stripe account and Wrapped adds no fee on top of them. Stripe charges its standard processing fees on your account, and Wrapped shows the Stripe fee on each web store order.
- Which payment methods can customers use?
- Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, all processed by Stripe.
- Do I need Stripe if I already sell gift cards on Shopify or my POS?
- Only for the Wrapped web store. Gift cards sold on Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce or your POS are paid through those systems, and Wrapped keeps every card on the same ledger wherever it was sold.
- How much does Wrapped cost with Stripe?
- Wrapped starts at $49 per month (Basic), with Pro at $99 and Plus at $199, all in USD, and annual billing saves 20%. Every plan includes a monthly gift card activation allowance (50 on Basic, 200 on Pro, 500 on Plus) with a per-activation rate beyond it. The Stripe integration itself carries no additional fee, and there is a 14-day free trial.
