How an AI assistant sells your gift card

- It checks the option the customer wants is available, and makes a checkout link with the recipient's name and email, a message, and the date to send it.
- The customer opens the link, sees the cart already filled in on your store, and pays at your checkout.
- As soon as Stripe confirms the payment, Wrapped issues the gift card and emails it to the recipient on the chosen date, even if the customer has already closed the tab. The sale, the money and the customer are yours.
The assistant never handles payment. Every price is checked again at your checkout, and the money goes to your own Stripe account as with any other web store order.

- Can an AI assistant buy a gift card from my store?
- An assistant can do everything up to payment. It can look up your gift cards and vouchers, check an amount or option is available, and make a checkout link with the cart already filled in, including the recipient, a personal message and a send date. The customer opens the link, checks the cart and pays at your normal checkout. Payment always happens on your store, through your Stripe account.
- Do I need to set anything up?
- No. It is on for every Wrapped web store, with nothing to switch on. If your web developer asks: each store has an MCP server (the open standard AI assistants use to connect to online services) at yourbrand.wrapped.store/mcp, an llms.txt summary, a sitemap and schema.org product data.
- Will my store rank in Google or be recommended by ChatGPT?
- No platform can promise that; search engines and assistants decide what they show. What Wrapped does is make sure they can read and understand your store accurately: the right business name, real products and prices, and links that go to the right page. A store an assistant can't read is one it can't recommend.
- What if the customer pays and closes the tab straight away?
- The gift card is still issued. Wrapped issues it as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, so it does not depend on the customer reaching the order confirmation page. That matters when a purchase starts in an AI assistant and the customer never comes back to your store after paying.
- What can AI assistants not do?
- They can't take payment, look up gift card balances or see your customers' details. They only see what you have on sale and can only build carts. Balance lookups are left out on purpose, because guessing gift card codes is the most common gift card fraud.
- Which products are included?
- Only active products that can still be bought. Sold-out voucher options are marked as sold out, drafts and deleted products are never shown, and cart, checkout and order confirmation pages are kept out of search. Each product's page title and description come from its Search engine listing in your Wrapped dashboard. Changes show within about five minutes.
