- Does Wrapped replace Square gift cards?
- You can run both during a transition, but Square gift cards only work inside Square. Wrapped holds one balance that Square and every other connected system share, so a card sold on Square is spendable at a venue on Lightspeed or in a Shopify store. Existing Square gift cards import with their codes and remaining balances.
- What can Wrapped do that Square gift cards can't?
- Sell experience vouchers as a dated, scannable product rather than a dollar amount. Issue refund-to-credit at the counter. Run a branded gifting storefront on your own domain instead of a Square Online page. Take bulk and corporate orders. See outstanding liability broken down by channel and by site. All of that applies whether or not you sell anywhere outside Square.
- How does Wrapped connect to Square?
- Wrapped connects to Square through a native integration. You authorise the connection from your Wrapped account in a few clicks, with no developer work and no code to install. Once connected, gift cards issued anywhere in Wrapped are immediately sellable and redeemable through Square, and every transaction writes back to a single shared balance.
- Do gift card balances stay in sync between Square and my other sales channels?
- Yes. Wrapped keeps one shared balance per gift card rather than a separate balance per channel. When a card is redeemed in Square, the new balance shows up in real time everywhere else it can be used: your other tills, your online store and the Wrapped storefront. Nobody can spend the same value twice.
- Can I import my existing gift cards when I move to Wrapped?
- Yes. You can import existing gift cards with their codes, remaining balances and expiry dates from Square or any other platform, so outstanding cards keep working for your customers and you manage everything in one ledger. Self-managed migration import is included on every plan; premium onboarding ($300 one-time) adds managed migration and setup assistance.
- How long does the Square integration take to set up?
- Most merchants are live the same day. The setup is four steps: brand your gift card assets and storefront, connect Square, import any existing gift cards, and optionally order physical cards. No technical knowledge is required, and step-by-step guides plus email and chat support are included on every plan.
- Does the Square integration work across multiple locations?
- Yes. A single gift card works across every site you operate, with role-based permissions and reporting broken down by location. Wrapped's Basic plan covers up to 3 sites, Pro up to 7, and Plus up to 12; additional sites are $20 per month each.
- How much does Wrapped cost with Square?
- Wrapped starts at $49 per month (Basic), with Pro at $99 and Plus at $199, all in USD, and annual billing saves 20%. Every plan includes a monthly gift card activation allowance (50 on Basic, 200 on Pro, 500 on Plus) with a per-activation rate beyond it. The Square integration itself carries no additional fee, and there is a 14-day free trial.
