- Does Wrapped replace Lightspeed Retail gift cards?
- You can run both, but most merchants consolidate on Wrapped. Lightspeed Retail gift cards work at the Retail till and stay there. They don't carry into Lightspeed Restaurant, Lightspeed eCommerce or a Shopify store. Wrapped holds one balance across all of them. Your existing Lightspeed gift cards can be imported with their codes and remaining balances so nothing your customers hold stops working.

- Wrapped connects to Lightspeed Retail through a native integration. You authorise the connection from your Wrapped account in a few clicks, with no developer work and no code to install. Once connected, gift cards issued anywhere in Wrapped are immediately sellable and redeemable through Lightspeed Retail, and every transaction writes back to a single shared balance.
- Do gift card balances stay in sync between Lightspeed Retail and my other sales channels?
- Yes. Wrapped keeps one shared balance per gift card rather than a separate balance per channel. When a card is redeemed in Lightspeed Retail, the new balance shows up in real time everywhere else it can be used: your other tills, your online store and the Wrapped storefront. Nobody can spend the same value twice.
- Can I import my existing gift cards when I move to Wrapped?
- Yes. You can import existing gift cards with their codes, remaining balances and expiry dates from Lightspeed Retail or any other platform, so outstanding cards keep working for your customers and you manage everything in one ledger. Self-managed migration import is included on every plan; premium onboarding ($300 one-time) adds managed migration and setup assistance.
